Deep Condolence to the Great Leader Shinzo Abe(April 2022)
(Message From a lawyer and our friend in the U.S.)
I read with great sadness about the senseless assassination of Shinzo Abe.
He was a strong defender of the dignity of the Japanese nation.
Please accept my condolences.
I am glad that Pres. Biden will visit the Japanese Embassy to pay his respects.
Please stay well.
Most sincerely yours,

Written Statement submitted to the UN (April 2022)
The Office of Intergovernmental Support and Coordination for Sustainable Development of
the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs announces an open call
for written and oral statements for the 2022 ECOSOC High-level Segment (HLS) for NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC.
The 2022 the UN ECOSOC HLS will be held from 13 to 18 July 2022, on the theme "Building back better from the coronavirus disease
(COVID-19) while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development."
This is a unique opportunity for GAHTC to contribute to expressing a critical concern to the 2030 Agenda for
GAHT submitted the statement as attached. The fokkowing is the main points:
For the last thirty yeras, the UN hadtackled the issue of Comfort Women, but not solved.
The issue worsend the bilateral relations between Japan and Republic of Korea, averted attentions to Korean women's presnt problems:
the yearly increased suicedes and sex-violences.
The UN should end this unsolvable, endless, unethical, and evil argument, instead show herself as a solvable organization,
and spare her valuable fund and resources for actual problems, including Korean women and the 2030 SDG.

Written Opinion submitted to the UN
The international controversy between Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on the gcomfort womenh began
in the predecessor of HRC: Human Rights Committee (CHR) from 1992.
In January 1996, the committee did gtaking noteh of the Special Rapporteur Ms. Radhika Coomaraswamy report.
Since then, the issue has been taken up and argued in almost all UN human rights bodies such as former CHR,
HRC, ILO, CCPR, CESCR CAT, CEDAW, CERD, and CED.
Thirty years from the beginning, 26 years from the Coomaraswamy Report, the UN and its human rights-related organs
have been single-mindedly issued the recommendations to the government of Japan.
However, the recommendations have solved the issue at all. What a huge international and global-wide waste of resources!!!, Mottainai!.
GAHT sent a proposal to the UN to end this lengthy issue.
Dr. Mera's posthumous work is published today.
